The Bressingham Gardens
The first attracton as you come into Foggy Bottom are the large pendulous cones hanging on the end of branches. These will gradually turn to brown, but are a striking grey-green at this young stage. These belong to Picea abies 'Acrocona', a former Christmas Tree which is rather unshapely, but has red flowers in spring followed by these cones.
